WHAT IS HAIR LOSS?

Hair loss can be described as loss of hair from  part of body or head.Mainly the head is involved.The extent of hair loss can vary from small area to full body.Hair loss in some people can be a result of psychological stress.Hair loss can also be called Alopecia.

COMMON TYPES OF HAIR LOSS
These types include male pattern hair loss,female pattern hair loss,Alopecea Areata and thinning of hair phenomenon known as telogen effluvium.

CAUSES OF MALE PATTERN HAIR LOSS
Male pattern hair loss is combination of genetics and male hormones.

CAUSES OF FEMALE PATTERN HAIR LOSS
These causes are unclear
CAUSES OF ALOPECIA AREATA
Alopecia Areata are mainly due to auto-immunity which is a group of processes of immune responses against its own healthy cells and tissues.

CAUSE OF TELLOGEN EFFLUVIUM
This can be mainly blamed on Psychological and Physical Stress.It is very familiar in cases of pregnancy.

UNCOMMON TYPES OF HAIR LOSS
These types include pulling of the hair by force,medications including chemotherapy, hypothyroidism and malnutrition(iron deficiency).

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

Hair loss in patches particularly in circular patterns,dandruff,skin lesions and scarring .Alopecia Areata causes unusual hair losses from eyebrows,at the backside of the head and above the ears.

SKIN CONDITIONS
If your skin is blemished and has a lot of acnes,this could be a warning of the hair losses your'e going to face.Acne occurs from the same hormonal imbalances that causes hair loss and is associated with dihydrotestosterone formation in the body.Excessive amount of Sebum building up on your head also
is an indication of hormonal imbalance which can cause hair loss.

REDUCTION OF HAIR LOSS

REDUCE STRESS
High levels of stress can lead to extensive hair loss.Stress reduction is the most important part in hair loss reduction.
One should relax and chill,do yoga take long walks,this helps to reduce stress.Although hair loss from stress is not permanent but reducing stress levels might help your hair regrow.
TREAT YOUR HAIR WELL
prevent having tight hair styles,such as braids,buns or ponytails.Don't twist, rub your hair with force.Be gentle while washing your hair with warm water.Do not brush your hair vigorously.A wide toothed comb can help you not pull excessive hair.
DRINKING WATER
Hair shaft comprises 25% of water,one should drink plenty of water so that it helps in regrowth of the hair.Drink at least 64 ounces of water per day and will keep you hydrated and assist hair growth.
INCORPORATE HERBS IN YOUR DIET
Sage is thought to increase hair density while rosemary stimulates hair growth.One eating a balanced diet can also prevent hair loss.
APPLY TOPICAL CRUDE ONION JUICE
Apply onion juice to one's scalp has been proven to treat patch hair loss.There is sulfur content in the onion juice which helps in boosting collagen production and helps hair to grow.
GARLIC AND COCONUT CONCOCTION
Garlic also has sulfur content.Applying the garlic and coconut oil mix can also help you reduce hair fall.
